Operation Education

Give to Operation Education

A “Victory Garden” for the 21st Century

Making a donation to the Operation Education scholarship program at UC Riverside is a way for civilians to show their support for wounded veterans who have fought to defend the United States since September 11, 2001.

Through the support of donors, Operation Education scholarship recipients will receive financial support and resources, including tuition, fees and books, on-campus housing, transportation, medical assistance, child care, adaptive equipment, tutoring and mentorship.

About Our Funding

Operation Education is supported entirely by private donations, including gifts from foundations, alumni and friends.

The scholarship program is generous, but strategic, using standard financial aid formulas to determine need, then utilizing other funding sources prior to applying Operation Education funds.

How the Scholarship Works

Operation Education scholarship recipients should also apply for financial aid opportunities available to all students, as well as the GI Bill.

OE Scholarship funds will be used to:

  • “Fill in the gaps” in tuition and other campus fees.
  • Help the student integrate with the community by assisting with other costs, including rent, food, day care, etc.
  • Provide the necessary resources for the student to be successful, including academic assistance, counseling, transportation, etc.
